Strength of 600 mn youth needs to be utilised, exhorts President
The President expressed his happiness that with the advent of modern technology he was interacting with the students of various universities and colleges of India. He insisted on the youth to have courage of using innovative ideas for the development of society. Many students and faculty members across the country
Nizamabad: The President of India Pranab Mukharjee in his web address exhorted the need to utilise the strength of 600 million youth of our country to eradicate poverty, inequality, shortage of food and other problems. The President’s live webcast address was broadcast at the auditorium of Girraj government college here on Thursday via internet laptop and projector.
The President expressed his happiness that with the advent of modern technology he was interacting with the students of various universities and colleges of India. He insisted on the youth to have courage of using innovative ideas for the development of society. Many students and faculty members across the country interacted with the President and expressed the hope that with a blend of technological and social development India would emerge as a great nation. National Informatics Centre coordinated the programme from Delhi.
Principal Ram Mohan Reddy, IQAC coordinator Dr Tukkaram and Dr Mohd Aslam Faroqui, Head, Department of Urdu, spoke on the occasion and expressed the need to use technology for gaining knowledge.
College staff and more than 400 college students from Science, Commerce, and Arts were present. Programme coordinator Bharat Raj and assistant coordinator Dr Aslam Faroqui organised the programme as per the instructions received from the District Collector.
