Hyderabad: Following the instructions from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national executive member and Nehru Yuva Kendra national vice-president Perala Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday held a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ from Sagar Ring Road to LB Nagar and made a fervent appeal to all citizens to celebrate the 70th Independence Day by conducting Tiranga Yatras across Telangana.

Speaking on the occasion, Perala asked all concerned citizens to send a strong message during the Tiranga Yatra to anti-social elements in every nook and corner who are hesitant to say ‘Vande Mataram’.

As announced by the PM Modi during his recent tour to the city, every citizen should conduct Tiranga Yatras until September 17, he said.

He wanted the Yatras to be conducted till the State government announced September 17 as Telangana Liberation Day. He said that BJP national president Amit Shah would participate in the last Tiranga Yatra and hold a public meeting to conclude the programme.

Perala said celebrating International Yoga Day must be seen as a milestone achieved by Prime Minister Modi. He felicitated three freedom fighters Sriramulu, Sita Joshi and Shiva Ramakrishna on the occasion.

RK Puram Corporator Radha Dheeraj Reddy and others participated in the programme.
