Congress to hold Rythu Garjana in Adilabad today
As part of its campaign to pressurise the State government to look into various issues engulfing the farming community, the Congress party would be holding Rythugarjana at Ramlila Maidan in Adilabad on August 16.
​Hyderabad: As part of its campaign to pressurise the State government to look into various issues engulfing the farming community, the Congress party would be holding Rythugarjana at Ramlila Maidan in Adilabad on August 16.
TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, who unfurled the tricolour at Gandhi Bhavan, alleged that the TRS government completely neglected farmers after the formation of Telangana.
He said that the public meeting aims at achieving the long standing demands to waive off the loans of farmers and to implement the Land Acquisition Act-2013, while acquiring farm lands. “TPCC will announce nine main demands during the Rythu Garjana,” he said.
Uttam Kumar said that prior to Rythu Garjana, the State coordination committee meeting would be held at the same place where the party plans to discuss various issues including the plan of action in next Assembly session and also internal problems like defections.
“The regular attacks on Dalits were appalling and also disturbed the President of India, who had mentioned the same in his speech,” he said.
