Ramagundam (Karimnagar): The 70th Independence Day was celebrated at the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) in the town on Monday with great fanfare.
NTPC Executive Director Prasant Kumar Mohapatra, who was the chief guest on the occasion, hoisted the national flag. The CISF unit presented a guard of honour followed by inspection and parade.
Addressing the gathering, Mohapatra recalled the sacrifices and contribution made by our great freedom fighters to make our country independent.
He also highlighted the glorious history of NTPC and its contribution in the development of the country.
