​Hyderabad: The 70th Independence Day celebrations at Telangana Bhavan were held on a grand note on Monday with Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy hoisting the national flag on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Naini said that freedom was the result of the sacrifices made by several people. Similarly, the people of Telangana had waged several movements to achieve separate Telangana State by drawing the spirit from the freedom fighters, he said.
The Home Minister, listing out the welfare measures initiated by the TRS government during the last two years, said that the government launched programmes like Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha for the development of the State.
