Hyderabad: Rain occurred at isolated places in Telangana during the last 24 hours even as Wednesday’s deep depression over Jharkhand and its neighbourhood moved west-north westwards during the last 12 hours and lay centred over Jharkhand and its adjoining areas of north Chhattisgarh and south Bihar, about 100 km east of Daltonganj. The trough from Odisha to south Tamil Nadu across coastal Andhra Pradesh is persisting, the Met forecast said on Thursday.

During the last 24 hours, Hyderabad recorded the day’s highest maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius in the State, while Nalgonda recorded 35 degrees C. The other recordings in the State were: Hanamkonda and Khammam 34 degrees Celsius, Bhadrachalam and Ramagundam 33,

Adilabad and Mahbubnagar 32, Medak and Nizamabad 31 and Hakimpet 30 degrees Celsius. According to the forecast, light to moderate rain/thunder showers are likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana from August 19 to 22. No large change during the subsequent three days is the weather outlook.
