Guided by Telangana Jagruti leader G Mohan Reddy, explorers of the Organisation Ramoju Haragopal, Vemuganti Muralikrishna and assistant Nagaraju discovered the pre-historic site. Ph D students of Pune-based Deccan College of Archaeology also took part in the exploration. 

Medak: Members of Telangana Jagruthi discovered pre-historic rock art sites and stone tools at Ratnapur in Sivampet mandal of Medak district on Saturday. The rock art was discovered on a monolith flat stone wall which is 40-feet wide and 25-feet tall.

Guided by Telangana Jagruti leader G Mohan Reddy, explorers of the Organisation Ramoju Haragopal, Vemuganti Muralikrishna and assistant Nagaraju discovered the pre-historic site. Ph D students of Pune-based Deccan College of Archaeology also took part in the exploration.

The rock art depicted a naked man with his son, bulls, a flying bird, a stag, a hunter, three peacocks and Vaishnavite religious symbols like conch, chakra, Tirupeetham, a warrior with bow and many other significant images.

The site where the rock art has been discovered is called as Tirumalayagutta. Above the site, there situates a dilapidated Vaishnava temple built during the Vishnukundina rulers era. There is an image in the sanctum-sanctorum of the temple. Towards the north, there is an evidence of human settlements.
