NTPC distributes sports kits, books
At a programme held at EDC under CSR activities, NTPCdistributed notebooks and sports items like Volleyball, Football, Carom, Tennikoit and skipping rope to 36 government and NGO-run schools (six government ZPHS, nine upper primary school and 21 primary School) of nearby areas benefiting around 3,300 students.
Ramagundam (Karimnagar): True to its tagline of Transforming Lives, NTPC has come forward in transforming students lives by distributing notebooks and sports kits on Tuesday.
At a programme held at EDC under CSR activities, NTPCdistributed notebooks and sports items like Volleyball, Football, Carom, Tennikoit and skipping rope to 36 government and NGO-run schools (six government ZPHS, nine upper primary school and 21 primary School) of nearby areas benefiting around 3,300 students.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Prasant Kumar Mohapatra, ED underlined the importance of quality education and reiterated NTPC’s commitment for promotion of education through different CSR activities. He also advised the students to excel in other curricular activities with special thrust on sports. Later, along with other senior officials, Mohapatra presented the notebooks and sports kits.
B S Kumar, AGM (F&A), Dr B B Mishra, CMO, Dr Sashmita Dash, Senior Specialist (O&G), Rafiqul Islam, AGM (HR-CSR), CSR officials and others from NTPC, Daniel, Ramagundam Mandal Education Officer, Headmasters and teachers along with students from different schools were present in large numbers.
