Hyderabad: Miryalaguda in Nalgonda district recorded 9 cm of rainfall during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday, as rain occurred at a few places in Khammam, Ranga Reddy, Warangal, Hyderabad and Mahbubnagar districts.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in the State was: Perur (Khammam) 8 cm, Hayathnagar (Ranga Reddy) 7 cm, Eturunagaram (Warangal) and Pinapaka (Khammam) 6 cm, Golconda (Hyderabad) 5 cm, Ibrahimpatnam (RR), Venkatapuram (Khammam) and Devarakonda (Nalgonda) 4 cm each, the Met department bulletin said on Friday.

There was three cm of rain each in Kalwakurthy, Hyderabad, Mogullapalle, Saroornagar, Parvathagiri, Enkuru, while 2 cm each was recorded in Ramannapet, Madhira, Kampasagar, Bhupalpalle and Shayampet, and one cm each in Nallabelly, Parkal, Medak, Sangareddy, Dummugudem, Bhuvanagiri, Thollada, Hasanparthy, Chevella, Hakimpet , Atmakur, Vangoor, Yacharam, Kothagudem, Julurpad, Mominpet and Manchal.

The forecast said heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda districts from August 28 to 30, under the influence of a low pressure area formed over the West-Central Bay of Bengal off North Andhra coast.
