Heavy rains cause massive traffic jams in Hyderabad
Heavy downpours occurred in Hyderabad, Secunderabad and surrounding areas on Wednesday causing the traffic coming to a stand still in major parts of the city.
Heavy downpours occurred in Hyderabad, Secunderabad and surrounding areas on Wednesday causing the traffic coming to a stand still in major parts of the city. Several areas were waterlogged and massive traffic jams were wintessed in the city that led to people getting stuck on the roads.
Due to the continuous rains, all major roads including Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Madhapur, Gachibowli, IT Corridor, Somajuguda, Begumpet were blocked due to traffic. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) had even suggested people not to travel during the heavy rains and avoid taking to streets untill the rains water recedes.
This measure comes in the wake of seven people losing their lives due to incessant rainfall in the city.
