In a ghastly accident, eight persons were crushed to death when their vehicle was sandwiched between two trucks.
Hyderabad: In a ghastly accident, eight persons were crushed to death when their vehicle was sandwiched between two trucks.
A DCM van which lost control rammed into Tavera car which was behind a heavy truck in the queue to pay toll fee near tollgate at Suthariguda in Medchal mandal close to ORR (Outer Ring Road) on Tuesday night.
The Tavera car, in which nine members were travelling, got crushed between the two heavy vehicles. Except one, all the passengers died on the spot.
According to the police, they were on their way to attend the marriage function being held at ANR function hall in Kompally on Tuesday night.
The deceased were identified as Md Sameer, 21, businessman, Md Saqawat Ali, 30, vehicle driver, Md Irfan, 17, student, Md Feroz, 24, private employee, Md Nishad, 24, student, Md Akbar, 24, fruit merchant, Md Imroz, 25, student and Md Aqeel, 25, real estate businessman.
Md Jaleel the lone survivor of the accident was shifted to a private hospital in Kompally.
