Jupally Krishna Rao hurls anti-growth slur on Congress.

​Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao charged the Congress with hatching conspiracies to sabotage developmental works in the State.

Addressing the media here on Saturday, the Minister lashed out at the Congress leaders for staging ‘fake protests’ to misguide people. He also accused the Congress of getting jealous of the government for taking up development programmes.

“But the people are not ready to believe the meaningless protests by the Congress which are aimed at getting political mileage,” he said. The Congress could not digest losing power and was trying to carry out misinformation campaign against the State government, he added.

“The TRS will win any election as the people are with us,” the Minister maintained. He also found fault with the Congress for indulging in power politics instead of focusing on welfare.

“TRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao has made many sacrifices for the statehood while the State Congress leaders stayed away from the movement,” he said. While delivering the statehood, the Congress-led UPA government created problems.

He said those Congress leaders, who supported release of Krishna waters to Galeru-Nagari, were now making derogatory statements against the government.

The Minister maintained that the State government had taken up the process of districts delimitation by keeping all the issues in mind.
