The sleuths of Crime Investigation Department on Saturday arrested two more educational consultants from Hyderabad, on charges of conniving with the racketeers in the EAMCET II question paper leak scam and facilitating students to practice the leaked papers.Â
​Hyderabad: The sleuths of Crime Investigation Department on Saturday arrested two more educational consultants from Hyderabad, on charges of conniving with the racketeers in the EAMCET II question paper leak scam and facilitating students to practice the leaked papers.
CID IG Sowmya Mishra said that the accused identified as Peddada Damodar Rao alias Ramakrishna (58), a native of Visakhapatnam and resident of Sainikpuri and Deekonda Ramesh Kumar (52), a native of Adilabad and resident of Himayathnagar were arrested.
During the questioning, the accused persons confessed to have taken 52 students belonging to different places in Telangana to Pune.
They were given two sets of leaked EAMCET II question papers and allowed to practice at the camps organised at Lonawala, the IG said.
“The teams recovered Rs 64 lakh cash and a newly purchased flat worth Rs 34 lakh from the accused persons. Our efforts are on to apprehend other brokers and prime accused involved in the question paper leak scam,” said the IG.
