Ravi Varma takes charge as Warangal range DIG
Ravi Varma previously served as DIG in Crime Investigation Department (CID) and played important role in probing the EAMCET-II question paper leak case and in nabbing the culprits involved in the case.
Warangal: A senior police official, C Ravi Varma has taken charge as the Warangal range DIG. He would also be the in-charge DIG of Karimnagar range. He took charge from DIG (Hyderabad range) Akun Sabharwal at state police headquarters in Hyderabad on Thursday. The outgoing Warangal DIG T Prabhakar Rao handed over the charge to Sabharwal before he assumed post of the DIG (Intelligence).

He belongs to 1990 batch of DSPs and was conferred the IPS in 2001. He earlier served as an ACP, additional superintendent police, superintendent of police in West Godavari and Nalgonda districts and as DCP, west zone Hyderabad.
