Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy said it was not correct on the part of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders to say the Congress leaders joined hands with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the State.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Jeevan Reddy explained TRS leaders that Congress leaders expressed solidarity to Mallannasagar project oustees along with other Opposition parties including the TDP.

“It doesn’t mean we joined hands with TDP leaders in Telangana State,” he clarified. Alleging that quid-pro-quo took place in ‘Vote-for-Note’ case, Jeevan Reddy said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao supported Pattiseema and Polavaram projects and not the Congress.

The TRS government should implement Land Acquisition Act-2013 in the State, he demanded, asserting that the TRS leaders were distorting the facts with regard to land acquisition for Mallannasagar Project.
