Speaking at a media conference here on Friday, Venkat Reddy expressed strong displeasure over the cooked up stories published in a newspaper alleging that the brothers has links with the gangster. He alleged that the State government was deliberately giving leaks to the media against them.

Reminding that TDP leader Uma Madhava Reddy and MLC Nethi Vidya Sagar have faced allegation of having links with Nayeem, he pointed out that the news about the links between the Komatireddy brothers and Nayeem came 40 days after the latter’s encounter.

If we have nexus with the gangster, then why our names were not mentioned along with Uma Madhava Reddy or Nethi Vidya Sagar,’ he questioned.Unable to face them politically, the ruling party leaders were trying to tarnish their image, he stated. He said they were not filing any PIL in the court seeing CBI inquiry into Nayeem case as CPI leader Narayana already filed a PIL in this regard.

Denying links with Nayeem, the Nalgonda MLA stated they were never involved in land settlements. ‘Moreover, we are spending some amount of the profits of our businesses for public welfare,’ he added.

My family was shocked when they heard businessman Nagender statement that Nayeem threatened him to kill his sons in accident just like they killed the son of Komatireddy Venkat Reddy,” he said.He revealed that Nayeem gang members and his follower B Srinivas also threatened him over phone to join the TRS.They also warned him of killing Komatireddy brothers, he added.Former Nakrekal MLA Chirumarthy Lingaiah and others were also present.
