Warangal: All is ready for the BJP national president Amit Shah’ first ever public address in Warangal, which is expected to be foothold for the party’s efforts to emerge as a strong political entity in Telangana.

The BJP chief’s visit to Warangal is mainly intended to commemorate Telangana Liberation Day on September 17, on which the Hyderabad State was freed from the rule of erstwhile Nizams in a police action and merged with Indian Republic.

The party leadership anchored its task of projecting itself as a political alternate to the ruling TRS in its demand for official celebration of Telangana Liberation Day. It is in response to a clarion call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 7 in Hyderabad.

The message by Modi to party workers ‘September 17 is not Modi’s birthday; Sardar Vallabhai Patel got you freedom. So carry out ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in all parts of the State’, has been well received. He wanted ‘Tiranga Yatra’ to be carried out from August 15 till September 17.

Following which the party has organised Tiranga Yatra across the State and it is going to be culminated on Saturday here and Amit Shah is going to give a finishing touch by addressing the public here.

Keeping up the spirit, Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti has attended Tiranga Yatra at Palakurthy on September 10 on the occasion of 31st death anniversary of Chakali Ilamma, who fought against Nizams’ rule.

According to the party leaders, what the BJP chief is going to speak is going to lay out a course of action for the party’s future in Telangana. The party is expecting nearly one lakh public at the meeting. The city is decked up with banners are posters put up by the party leaders across the tri-cities.
