Hyderabad: The Rajendranagar court on Saturday granted the custody of four of slain gangster Nayeem’s associates to the Cyberabad police.

Based on confessions by Fayaz, one of Nayeem’s associates arrested from Shamshabad, the airport police filed a plea in the Rajendranagar court seeking permission of Nayeem’s brother Faheem and associate Srihari, in order to question them about the settlements done on the Shamshabad outskirts. The duo also has information about supply of ammunition to Nayeem.

Fayaz also confessed to police that following Nayeem’s orders, he had supplied weapons to Nayeem’s drivers Sridhar Goud and Sameeruddin.

The police also told the court that Faheem, Samuel, Tech Madhu and Srihari have supplied weapons to Sridhar Goud in 2016. The court has adjourned the hearing to Monday.

During raids on Nayeem’s house in Alkapuri Colony of Narsingi, the police had recovered two AK-47 guns and hundreds of live rounds along with country-made revolvers.

Simultaneously, the Narsingi police also filed a plea requesting the court to grant permission for 10-day custody of Faheem’s wife Sultana and Nayeem’s wife Haseena.

On hearing the arguments, the court has granted eight days of custody of the accused to the police from Monday.
