​Hyderabad: The Telangana government is preparing a detailed report on the utilisation of water by the State so that it could counter the moves of Andhra Pradesh which is trying to create hurdles in the irrigation projects taken up in Telangana.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday held a detailed meeting with the Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao, State Advisor (Irrigation) R Vidyasagar Rao, Special Chief Secretary (Irrigation) SK Joshi and OSD Sridhar Rao Deshpande to work out minute details so that a comprehensive report can be submitted by him at the apex council meeting to be held in New Delhi on September 21.

The meeting of the Chief Ministers of the two Telugu States has been convened by the Union Minister for Water Resources Uma Bharti to resolve the contentious issues between the two States. Andhra Pradesh had raised objections with regard to Palamuru-Ranga Reddy and Dindi irrigation projects.

Sources said Chandrashekar Rao would present all the evidences including government orders issued in the undivided Andhra Pradesh for the construction of Palamuru and Dindi lift irrigation projects.
