Panel reviews Metro Rail works
The Committee on Public Undertakings (CoPU) of Telangana Legislature, under the chairmanship of N Divakar Rao, reviewed the performance of Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMRL) and the progress of Metro Rail project on Saturday
​Hyderabad: The Committee on Public Undertakings (CoPU) of Telangana Legislature, under the chairmanship of N Divakar Rao, reviewed the performance of Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMRL) and the progress of Metro Rail project on Saturday.
HMRL Managing Director NVS Reddy gave a detailed presentation to the Committee members on the progress of the project and performance of HMRL. Explaining the challenges and various hurdles faced by the project including about 200 court cases, permissions, issues pertaining to sensitive structures etc., and as to how they were tackled, Reddy indicated that 68 per cent of project was completed.
MLCs Karne Prabhakar, V Bhoopal Reddy and Poola Ravinder, MLA Chinta Prabhakar, Special Chief Secretary MA&UD MG Gopal, Legislature Secretary Raja Sadaram and other senior officers of MA&UD Department and HMRL took part in the meeting.
