Manish Goud (14), a resident of Chinna Tupran area in Shamshabad mandal, was studying at Sri Chaitanya School in Hayathnagar. On Friday night, after the students finished their dinner, hostel warden Laxman allegedly beat up Manish for unknown reasons. Manish suffered a severe injury to his left eye.

On Saturday, the boy’s father lodged a complaint with the Hayathnagar police, who booked a case and took the warden into custody. Hayathnagar Inspector J Narender Goud said, “A compliant has been lodged against the warden Laxman by victim’s father. The warden has only six months of experience.

The school management has suspended him after the incident.” A case has been booked against the warden on Saturday under Juvenile Justice Act and under Sections 323 and 506 of IPC. The warden was taken into custody and would be produced in the court, said Narender Goud.
