BJP tears into TRS

​Hyderabad: Stating that the TRS leaders were unable to digest the success of the BJP Liberation Day meeting in Warangal and were targetting the party, BJP senior leader N Indrasena Reddy suggested that Nizamabad MP K Kavitha read the history.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, BJP senior leader Indrasena Reddy took exception to the remarks of Nizamabad MP Kavitha and asked the TRS leader to answer the simple questions of Amit Shah as to why the government was not celebrating Liberation Day officially.

He said if TRS thought that the demand for celebration of Liberation Day as official function would create differences between Hindus and Muslims, then why did her father raise the issue during the undivided Andhra Pradesh days.

If your father talks about the same issue, it is for Telangana and when someone else speaks it is a Hindu-Muslim issue,” Reddy quipped. Reddy said when Rosaiah was the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, KCR was vocal in his demand to celebrate the Liberation Day officially and promised to celebrate it if TRS came to power. “But now he has conveniently forgotten about it,” he said.

Party spokesperson Krishna Sagar Rao, who was also present at the press conference, said that the TRS was scared and unsettled with the stupendous success of the BJP public meeting at Warangal. “The meeting has certainly sent chills down the spine, for the ruling party. TRS party leader’s reaction has certainly exposed this nervousness,” he said.
