Projects exclusively for farmers welfare

Addressing a media conference at the Revenue Divisional Office here on Monday, he said that the farmers of nine villages came forward to part with their lands for Mallanna Sagar project in response to GO 123. He flayed the Congress party for misleading the farmers by filing a petition in the High Court. Under GO 190, the government would safeguard the interests of landless farmers.
The Minister said that the government had decided to arrange for payment of livelihood allowance for a period of 20 years at Rs 3,000 to the Scheduled Castes and Rs 2,000 to others. He ridiculed all the parties for misleading the landless SC, STs, not to accept the one-time settlement of Rs 7.5 lakh in lieu of the allocation of the land promised to them at the time of elections, though the government had already expressed its readiness to implement the same. DCCB Chairman Chitti Devender Reddy accompanied the Minister.
