​Hyderabad: In view of threat of the outbreak of water-borne diseases due to heavy rains since last two days, the State government has sounded an alert across the affected districts in the State.State Medical and Health Minister C Laxma Reddy instructed the officials of the Health Department on Thursday to take all necessary measures to prevent outbreak of diseases and ensure that all the staff was on duty to render services to the patients instantly.

The officials were also asked to increase the number of hours for OP (outpatient) services and also open more number of OP counters in busy government hospitals.The Minister said the government had made available emergency medicine in all primary and community health centres. He wanted every patient coming to the government hospital to be provided with required medical treatment.
