Hyderabad: Train services between Hyderabad and Vijayawada were stalled for the third consecutive day on Saturday due to the damage to the tracks following heavy rain in Andhra Pradesh.

South Central Railway (SCR) cancelled 17 trains and diverted 24 others due to breaches between Sattenapalli and Piduguralla in Guntur Division.

Guntur-Vikarabad Palnadu Express, Guntur-Macherla Passenger, Macherla-Bhimavaram Passenger Repalle-Secunderabad Passenger, Nadikudi-Macherla Passenger, Secunderabad-Vijayawada Intercity Express, Vijayawada-Secunderabad Intercity Express and Piduguralla-Miryalaguda Passenger have been cancelled.

Other cancelled trains include Macherla-Nadikudi Passenger, Secunderabad-Repalle Passenger, Macherla-Guntur Passenger, Miryalaguda-Piduguralla Passenger and Secunderabad-Repalle Passenger.

SCR has diverted 24 trains. These include Kamakhya-Yesvantpur Express, Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express, Sri Satya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam-Howrah Express, Thiruvanthapuram-Hyderabad Sabari Express, Hyderabad-Thiruvanthapuram Sabari Express, Secunderabad-Guntur Intercity Express, Narsapur-Hyderabad Express, Tirupati-Secunderabad Padmavati Express, Secunderabad-Tirupati Padmavati Express, Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Janmabhoomi Express, Hyderabad-Chennai Central Express, Secunderabad-Bhubaneswar Visakha Express and Secunderabad-Tirupati Narayanadri Express.
