An eighteen-year-old student from Hyderabad, Rahul Ramesh, has achieved a unique distinction of being the only student selected from India to the prestigious Imperial College School of Medicine, London. 

Hyderabad: An eighteen-year-old student from Hyderabad, Rahul Ramesh, has achieved a unique distinction of being the only student selected from India to the prestigious Imperial College School of Medicine, London.

He is one among the 15 students selected from across the globe for admission to the MBBS course. The Imperial College is ranked the second best medical college in Europe and the fifth best in the world in the 2015 in Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

“Though I have got offers from Queen Mary Medical School University and University College of London Medical School all in London, I have selected to take admission at Imperial College and my course will commence from October 1,” he said.

An avid reader, Rahul wants to make his mark in advancement of science, and his life’s ambition is to make an impact on improving the health and quality of life for people around the world, according to him.
