Nalgonda: The rainfall has come down in the district providing relief to the people. Downpour reduced to drizzling. On Saturday, the district recorded 59.8 centimetres rain with an average rainfall of 1 cm in each mandal.

Tirumalgiri mandal stood top with 4.92 centimetres rainfall, whereas Nadigudem recorded lowest with 0.4 cm rainfall. Majority of rivulets in the district are still brimming. With copious inflows from upstreams, River Musi is in spate at Rudravelli, Battugudem, Chinna Ravulapalli which cut off road connection to several villages and traffic between Choutuppal- Bhonagiri route was completely stopped. Musi is flowing on the road at Bheemaram of Kethepalli mandal cutting off road connection between Suryapet and Miryalaguda for the last four days. About 3,000 acres of agricultural fields got inundated due to breach of Vemulapalli water body.

Also Guduru water body in Bibinagar mandal was also breached due to rains. According to officials, as many as 34 water bodies in the district were breached and repairs are going on war-footing.According to officials, as many as eight houses completely collapsed and about 40 houses got partially damaged in the district due to rains. According to agriculture officials preliminary reports, about 11,414 hectares of various crops got damaged across the district.
