Additional Joint Collector reviews Bathukamma festival arrangements
Addressing the officials, Venkat Rao said the State government has decided to celebrate Bathukamma festival from September 30 to October 9 at all district headquarters, revenue divisions, mandals and villages.Â
Nalgonda: Additional Joint Collector S Venkat Rao instructed the officials to make arrangements to celebrate Bathukamma festival on a grand scale in the district.The AJC reviewed the arrangement for the Bathukamma festival with the officials of different departments here on Thurday.
Addressing the officials, Venkat Rao said the State government has decided to celebrate Bathukamma festival from September 30 to October 9 at all district headquarters, revenue divisions, mandals and villages. The district-level celebrations of the festival would be organised at NG College Grounds in Nalgonda. The Municipal Commissioner was instructed to complete the works of ground preparation, setting up of stage, arranging public addressing system, lighting and providing drinking water facility at NG College ground.
The AJC directed the officials to ensure that the women members of seven SHG groups would participate in the official celebrations of Bathukamma festival every day. Cash prizes would be presented to the best Bathukamma festival every day. The Transco officials should ensure continuous power supply without any break downs during the celebrations.
The AJC asked the Irrigation department officials to make arrangements for Bathukamma immersion at Bakthai kunta, Mothu kunta and Vallabh Rao cheruvu in Nalgonda.Cultural programmes would be organised at NG College ground from 6 pm to 9 pm every day during the celebrations.
