Hyderabad: After a gap of nearly a week, heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Nalgonda and Khammam districts of Telangana on October 2 and 3, the Met department bulletin said on Friday. It attributed the rain to an upper air cyclonic circulation lying over the west-central Bay of Bengal off north Andhra coast between 5.8 and 9.5 km above the mean sea level.

The forecast said the upper air cyclonic circulation over south Chhattisgarh and adjoining Vidarbha and Telangana, extending up to 3.1 km above the mean sea level was persisting. The east-west shear zone now runs roughly above the mean sea level, bringing light to moderate rain/thundershowers at a few places in Telangana from October 1 to 4.
