Congress MLA demands Kalwakurthy revenue division

Hyderabad: Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was ruling the State like a ‘dictator’, Kalwakurthy MLA Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy said he would observe a day’s deeksha at Indira Park demanding that the State government make Kalwakurthy as s revenue division. He said leaders from all political parties, including the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) from Kalwakurthy and representatives of public organisations would attend the deeksha.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Sunday, Vamshi Chand Reddy said he had abandoned his medical education to serve the people and entered into politics. “But today I am feeling very sad as I could not get an appointment with the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister is not giving me time to meet him regarding Kalwakurthy as a revenue division as per the wishes of the people,” he said.

He also expressed dismay at the decision of the Chief Minister to invite only TRS leaders for the review meeting on districts reorganisation disregarding the Opposition parties.
