Hyderabad: The participants of 46th batch of Vaktha felt that the two-day training programme jointly organised by HMTV and Kaushalya School of Life Skills on October 1 and 2, transformed them from a hesitant person into an orator who can pull crowds.

The public speaking training programme, which was attended by people from all age groups, displayed marked change in them. Some of them, whose hands and legs shook while holding a mike, expressed confidence of effective public speaking after attending the programme, while some others felt confident after attending the classes and transformed into good leaders who could bring upon change in the society.

The Director (Training), Kapil Group, and the lead faculty of the programme, D Bal Reddy, explained all the important tips and techniques related to public speaking. While providing insights into the dos and don’ts of public speaking, he also explained the participants that to become a good public speaker one has to practice and prepare themselves. They should also keep in mind the mood of audience all the times, he said.

The participants explained that they could clearly understand their deficiencies and would work on improving the same in the coming days. During sessions, Bal Reddy also emphasised the upcoming leaders to remain relaxed while holding the mike and to remain focused on the subject. Avoiding distraction of all kinds on the stage was the key to public speaking, he said.

S Anand Parjanya, faculty on body language, trained the participants on maintaining their posture while delivering a speech and communicating at a public place. He explained as to how the Orator should communicate the subject with the coordinating actions of hands.

K Srikanth, another faculty, explained important techniques of voice modulation, since a good speaker maintains a high tone while delivering the speech. He made students practice some of the important tips and showed how voice culture and modulation can make a person an effective public speaker.

While giving their feedback, U Rajesh, an advocate, said that the programme filled in him with strength to face huge audience and brought in great change within. Ch Vinod Kumar, a businessman said that the training transformed him and several others into leaders, owing to systematic planning and delivery of the programme.M Durga Prasad, another participant said that the two-day training and important tips gave him a chance to transform his personality and provided an opportunity to hone the skills.
