Nalgonda: Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy vowed to bring party to power in the State in the Assembly elections in 2019. If the party fails to come to the power, he challenged that he will quit politics permanently.Reddy inaugurated a walking track, developed with Rs 30 lakh at NG College Grounds in Nalgonda on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said ‘The public have lost faith as the TRS government has failed to live up to their expectations. The public would defeat the ruling TRS in next elections. Also KCR couldn’t win from Gajwel Assembly constituency in 2019 elections, he predicted.

The Municipal chairperson Boddupally Lakshmi Srinivas had joined the ruling TRS, aiming to develop the town but it seems that the purpose was not served, he felt. Moreover, she got a raw deal from TRS. Reddy expected that Lakshmi would cooperate with him in the development of the Nalgonda town.

The Nalgonda MLA pointed out that a few forces were indulged in mudslinging against Komatireddy brothers in connection with gangster Nayeem case. The complaint of a businessman Gampa Nagender to the police that Nayeem threatened him to kill his son in a fake accident like that of Komatireddy’s son will clearly states that he don’t have any link with the gangster. The real culprits will come out once the special investigation tem (SIT) starts arresting the political leaders with reported links with Nayeem.

The MLA announced that Pratheek Foundation, which was setup in memory of his son, would construct a new building for NG College at an expenditure of Rs 11 crores. Walkers’ association president Bandaru Prasad, councilor Srinivas Reddy, Boddupally Srinivas, Mohan Reddy and others attended the programme.
