Book fake seed suppliers under PD Act: KCR
Following reports of fake seed supply to farmers in Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday instructed the officials to book the culprits under Preventive Detention Act.

During a review meeting on Wednesday at his camp office, he expressed anguish that the farmers were being taken for a ride by some companies.
The Chief Minister felt that the innocent farmers were being cheated and it was right time to initiate action against those traders selling fake seeds with an ‘iron fist.’
The Chief Minister asked the officials to book cases under Preventive Detention Act. Chandrashekar Rao also instructed them to suspend officials found involved or showing laxity in taking action against the culprits.
The Chief Minister also asked the officials to explore the possibility of seizure of property of the manufacturers of the fake seeds.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, Director General of Police Anurag Sharma and other officials.
