Cong leaders make a beeline to KK’s house
Several Congress leaders have met the High Power Committee headed by Rajya Sabha member Dr K Keshava Rao on new districts on Wednesday at latter’s residence.
Hyderabad: Several Congress leaders have met the High Power Committee headed by Rajya Sabha member Dr K Keshava Rao on new districts on Wednesday at latter’s residence. MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy met Rao and urged him to make Kalluru as a revenue division in Khammam district. He also pleaded to keep Garla, Bayyaram, Venkatapuram, Vazedu mandals in Kothagudem district.
Congress MLA from Parigi T Rammohan Reddy along with Ganded mandal MPP Shanta Raghya Naik requested Rao to not to merge Ganded mandal in Mahbubnagar district. They said the said mandal was in Vikarabad district in draft report and requested the Committee to retain the mandal in Vikarabad district only.
Several public representatives have also met the High Power Committee chief under the leadership of Kalwakurthy MLA Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy, who urged the Committee to create Kalwakurthy as revenue division with Veldanda, Kalwakurthy, Vanguru and Urkonda mandals. Vamshi Chand said the Committee members have reacted in a positive manner in this regard.
