KTR bats for Sircilla district

Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on Wednesday urged the High Power committee to carve Sircilla as new district out of Karimangar.
The Minister called on the committee headed by TRS senior leader K Keshava Rao and submitted a memorandum urging the committee to create Sircilla district in such a manner that Sircilla and Vemulawada assembly constituencies would be part of the district. KTR also requested the formation of Rudrangi mandal under the proposed district as people were demanding it.
In an informal chat with press persons, KTR said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken up the task of creating more number of districts to make benefits of all welfare and developmental programmes reach the needy and to encourage the promotion of second grade leadership in the new districts.
The IT Minister exuded confidence that the delimitation of the assembly constituencies would also be done before 2019 elections as the Centre already made promise in the AP Reorganisation Act. The bill required a simple majority only for its adoption in the Parliament, he added.
