140 get house pattas under Rajiv Gruhakalpa
The district administration on Thursday gave ‘pattas’ to 140 beneficiaries for houses constructed through Rajiv Gruhakalpa scheme, at a programme held in the district collectorate.

The Congress government in the undivided Andhra Pradesh had taken up construction of 432 houses. While Construction of 168 houses was completed, works on 240 houses is still in progress.
Construction of 140 houses which were given to beneficiaries was possible after District Collector Ronald Rose had sanctioned Rs 25 lakh to complete water supply, sanitation and sewerage works which were pending.
Sangareddy MLA Chinta Prabhakar hoped for more funds to be given to complete the works on the remaining houses also, so that poor people belonging to weaker sections could be given permanent houses to live in.
The houses were built close to bypass road in Sangaredddy. Among those who attended the patta distribution programme were ZP Chairperson B Vijaya Laxmi, Additional Joint Collector V Venkateswarlu and other Housing Department officials.
