SARAS expo extended till October 9
The SARAS Exhibition 2016 organised at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road here from September 26 to October 7 has been extended till October 9 in view of huge sales and request from visitors.
Hyderabad: The SARAS Exhibition 2016 organised at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road here from September 26 to October 7 has been extended till October 9 in view of huge sales and request from visitors.
The exhibition is organised by the SERP, Rural Development jointly with Union Ministry of Rural Development.
SARAS has played a key role in connecting the artisans with various markets thereby generating confidence among them which is not only accelerating the development of rural products and crafts but also rural entrepreneurship.
The entry is free and timings of the exhibition are from morning 10 am to 9.30 pm. All the nine rural districts have been participating from Telangana, in which the Self Help Groups (SHGs) are representing products from different sectors viz.,
Handlooms: Pochampally, Gadwal, and Fabric and Painting Sarees including Dress Material, Bed sheets, Towels, Lungis etc.; Handicrafts: jute products, toys, decorative items, bamboo products, DOCRA items, Imitation Jewellery, photo lamination, wood carving, leather goods, Kalankari, Terrakota, Lace products and furniture;
Food items: traditional sweets, pickles, masala powders, papad, honey and dry fruits; Others: bags, herbal powders, plastic decorative items, candles, belts, detergents, glass and mirror painting etc, by all the Self Help Groups (SHGs) representing all the districts of the State.
