Speaking to the media on the occasion, the Chief Minister addressed the issue of opposition parties demanding additional districts.

Pointing out that their demands are directionless, KCR even said that Congress leaders don't even know the issues to pick in order to fight against the Government and lashed out at over their instability over the districts.

While the total number of districts is summing up to 31, the final decision in this regard is likely to be taken during an emergency Cabinet meet called on Monday as per the announcement made by the Chief Minister.

Asserting that the objective of reorganising the districts was for the government reach out to the public, he said that the government schemes would reach the beneficiaries by organizing about two to four lakh families in each district.

The current proposals indicate that 19 of the proposed districts would include populations between five and nine lakh while six districts would be in between 10 lakh and 15 lakh people. Remaining five would have populations ranging from 15 lakh to 30 lakh while Hyderabad would have the highest population of 39,43,323.
