Thanks to the continuing vigorous Southwest Monsoon in Telangana, Burgampadu in Khammam district recorded 20 cm of rainfall during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Sunday. Rain occurred in Nizamabad, Warangal, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Ranga Reddy, Mahbubnagar, Hyderabad and Nalgonda districts, according to the Met department bulletin.

​Hyderabad: Thanks to the continuing vigorous Southwest Monsoon in Telangana, Burgampadu in Khammam district recorded 20 cm of rainfall during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Sunday. Rain occurred in Nizamabad, Warangal, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Ranga Reddy, Mahbubnagar, Hyderabad and Nalgonda districts, according to the Met department bulletin.

The Met department bulletin said light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Telangana from October 10 to 13, as the upper air cyclonic circulation over Odisha and its neighbourhood now lies over the adjoining Chhattisgarh and extends up to 5.8 km above the mean sea level.


Highlights:

  • Bhadrachalam receives 9 cm, Birkoor, Dornakal, Varni 7 cm each, Tekulapalle, Kotagiri, alwancha, Govindaraopet, Dummugudem and Ranjal 6 cm each; Julurpad, Enkuru, Madnur, Kothagudem, Nizamsagar, Jukkal, Banswada and Chandrugonda 5 cm each
  • Four cm of rain each in Yellareddy, Mudhole, Sadasivanagar, Gundala, Mallial, Mulakalapalle, Garla, Pargi, Venkatapuram, Aswapuram, Peddemul, Kothagudem , Dichpalle, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Bejjanki, Pitlam & Mustabad
  • Three cm of rain each recorded in Konijerla, Mominpet, Aswaraopet, Kondurg, Khanapur, Yedapalle, Navipet, Bodhan, Golkonda, Nagarjunasagar, Thollada, Manuguru, Utnur, Parkal, Sultanabad, Miryalaguda, Golkonda, Khammam Urban, Narsampet, Nagareddipet, Kamareddy, Shadnagar and Mulug

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in other parts of the State in the last 24 hours is as follows: Bhadrachalam (Khammam) 9 cm, Birkoor (Nizamabad), Dornakal (Warangal) and Varni (Nizamabad) 7 cm each; Tekulapalle, Palwancha and Dummugudem (all in Khammam), Kotagiri and Ranjal (Nizamabad), Govindaraopet (Warangal) 6 cm each; Julurpad, Enkuru and Chandrugonda (all in Khammam), Madnur, Nizamsagar, Jukkal and Banswada (all in Nizamabad), Kothagudem ( Warangal) 5 cm each.

There was 4 cm of rain each in Yellareddy, Sadasivanagar and Pitlam (all in Nizamabad), Mudhole (Adilabad), Gundala, Venkatapuram, Aswapuram, Kothagudem, Mulakalapalle and Garla (all in Khammam), Pargi and Peddemul (Ranga Reddy), Mallial, Dichpalle, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Bejjanki and Mustabad (all in Karimnagar).

Three cm of rain each was recorded in Konijerla, Mominpet, Aswaraopet, Kondurg, Khanapur, Yedapalle, Navipet, Bodhan, Golkonda, Nagarjunasagar, Thollada, Manuguru, Utnur, Parkal, Sultanabad, Miryalaguda, Golkonda, Khammam Urban, Narsampet, Nagareddipet, Kamareddy, Shadnagar and Mulug.

Two cm of rain each was received in Sriramsagar, Nalgonda, Marpalle, Medak, Luxettipet, Kampasagar, Gandhari, Narayankhed, Pegadapalle, Tadwai, Pinapaka, Mogullapalle, Tandur, Dharopalle, Sathupalle, Makloor, Sangareddy, Doma, Lingampet, Asifabad, Ramannapet, Hyderabad Airport and Kodangal.
