Hyderabad: The inauguration of new districts on Tuesday will purely be a government affair as it has ignored the opposition parties.

According to the office of the Leader of Opposition in State Assembly K Jana Reddy and the TPCC leaders, neither Jana Reddy nor TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy had received invitation to participate in the functions to be organised in the new districts.

The TTDP president L Ramana said the government has been taking unilateral decision in all respects and has been ignoring the opposition. He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has promised to convene another all-party meeting, but he failed to do so.

The opposition had not been taken into confidence while taking a decision on carving of the new districts. It has also not invited any of the opposition party leaders to attend the functions.

The CPI State Secretary Chada Venkatreddy also confirmed that they have not been invited for the celebrations.
