Suryapet, Yadadri start functioning
Minister for Power and SC Development G Jagadish Reddy hoisted the national flag at the new district Collectorate and inaugurated the offices of several departments in the Collectorate Complex. The District Collector Surendra Mohan took charge in his chamber on the occasion.
Nalgonda: The launching ceremony of Yadadri and Suryapet districts was conducted on grand scale. Though it was the day of Dasara festival, several people participated in the celebrations.In Suryapet town, the people took out a rally from bus stand centre to the Collectorate, dancing to the drum beating expressing their happiness.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Jagadish Reddy said that the State government has decided to carve out new districts for administrative convenience that would also help in ensuing easy access of government services to the people and effective implementation of welfare schemes.
The Minister also inaugurated the SP office at outdoor stadium.
Advisor to the Government Vidya Sagar Rao, MLC Pula Ravinder, Thungathurthy MLA Gadari Kishore, Superintendent of Police Parimala and others attended the programme.Later the Minister inaugurated MRO office and police station of Nagaram mandal, which was his native place and also at the newly setup Addagudur mandal in Yadadri district.
Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy launched Yadadri district by hoisting national flag on the district Collectorate building. IAS Officer Anitha Ramachandran assumed charge as the Collector of Yadadri district.Government Whip Gongidi Sunitha, MLC Karne Prabhakar, MLAs Vemula Veeresham and Pylla Shaker Reddy were also attended the programme.
