Khammam: Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageswara Rao said that drinking water supply under Mission Bhagiratha programme to all households will commence from Palair. Setting foundation stones for several developmental works in Kusumanchi mandal on Friday, the Minister said that efforts are on to give facelift to all the temples in Khammam district.
He said that all the tanks in Palair constituency will be filled with Nagarjuna Sagar Project Left Canal waters.“The works of four-lane road between Suryapet and Rajahmundry will begin soon,” Tummala said, stating that it would play a pivotal role in the economic development of the region. He said that 60,000 acres will be brought under irrigation with the Bhakta Ramadasu Lift Irrigation Scheme.The Minister offered prayers at Balaji Venkateswara Swamy temple in Nayakan Gudem.Sathupally MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, ZP Chairperson G Kavitha and ZP CEO M Nagesh were among others present.
