Nizamabad: City Police Commissioner Karthikeya on Sunday released the pamphlet highlighting the need to celebrate eco-friendly Deepavali and prevent air and sound pollution at the local police parade grounds here. The pamphlet was prepared by Jana Vignana Vedika. Speaking on the occasion, he urged the people to celebrate Deepavali without damage to the environment.
He said that air and sound pollution would result in ecological disasters and also ruin the health of the people. Similarly, measures should be taken to prevent fire accidents, he added. The Police Commissioner lauded the efforts of the Jana Vignana Vedika for trying to create awareness among the people by explaining to them about the safety measures to be taken.
