Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari has said teacher posts would be filled in the State by next academic year. Srihari, who also holds Education portfolio, inaugurated a three-day orientation programme for RJD, DEO, and Assistant Directors at Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister dealt with various schemes for education and stated to complete the rationalisation process soon and fill teacher posts lying vacant. DEOs were appointed to the new districts, he said, and instructed the officials to improve their style of functioning to offer quality education.

The new districts, he said, would help programme monitoring effectively and it was for the officials to bring good name. He also said the new districts would prove handy as Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao wanted to focus on standard and quality education with facilities and staff.

There was a need for improving the standards in the government schools and teachers and officials should put in coordinated efforts to increase the student strength, Kadiyam said.He hoped that the orientation class would equip the officials of the Education department to implement a plan of action to prepare our students to excel and surpass others in examinations and get suitable jobs in future.
