Congress, Left parties launch padayatra for takeover of NSF
Leaders and activists of the Congress and Left parties here on Thursday launched a four-day ‘padayatra’ demanding the takeover of the Nizam Sugar Factory (NSF).
Nizamabad: Leaders and activists of the Congress and Left parties here on Thursday launched a four-day ‘padayatra’ demanding the takeover of the Nizam Sugar Factory (NSF).
Congress leaders Sudarshan Reddy, Shabbir Ali, Bhatti Vikramarka, Akula Lalitha and Leftist leader Kotagiri launched the padayatra.
They reached Kollur village and interacted with farmers to acquaint themselves about their problems.The leaders criticised the TRS government for the party’s failure to honour its election promise of taking over NSF within 100 days of coming to power.
They pointed out that schemes like Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya were intended only to mislead the people.
The Congress leaders during their interaction with the media, charged the State government of adopting an indifferent and negligent attitude towards the problems of the people, particularly farmers.
