About 60 women are issued tokens for undergoing the tests everyday and they are forced to wait in queues since the previous evening and stay awake for securing the tokens. Since, the hospital is found to be inadequate, relatives of the women have appealed to the district administration to upgrade it.

Choutuppal: The government hospital in Choutuppal division which caters to the medical needs of the women from four mandals has of late putting pregnant women to hardships. With the absence of lab technician, the medical superintendent conducts the tests only twice a week. As a result, the pregnant women are forced to wait in long queues to collect the tokens. Over 200 women were found waiting on Wednesday as tests are conducted only on two days.

About 60 women are issued tokens for undergoing the tests everyday and they are forced to wait in queues since the previous evening and stay awake for securing the tokens. Since, the hospital is found to be inadequate, relatives of the women have appealed to the district administration to upgrade it. They met the local peoples' representatives and requested them for the appointment of two more doctors and arrangements for conducting tests for the benefit of pregnant women on a daily basis.
