According to the information, the Police department, Intelligence and security agencies have conducted a feasibility survey in this regard. The officials, who have conducted a survey had apprised the government of the situation and made some suggestions for foolproof security. The BRKR building has no adequate parking area and may not cater to the needs of employees if shifted to it from the existing Secretariat. Keeping this in view, the officials suggested steps to improve the same, it is said.

Necessary steps will be taken to improve security at BRKR building on par with the Secretariat after a comprehensive report is submitted to the government. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao reportedly asked the Police wing to submit a report on security measures as the BRKR Buildings will become the nerve center until the new Secretariat is constructed in a year or so.

It may be said here that KCR has zeroed in on a plan to construct a modern Secretariat in the existing premises at an estimated cost of Rs 350 crore, which was otherwise estimated to be more. With his request through Governor ESL Narasimhan, KCR got a green signal from his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu to hand over five building blocks in the Secretariat to Telangana State. Subsequently, KCR urged the Governor to hand over the same for taking over the buildings, including those in the both Houses of State Legislature.
