BJP rallies behind ryots
The Bharatiya Janata Party organised a farmers’ rally in Narayanpet on Thursday demanding immediate clearance of loan waiver dues as promised by the State government during elections two and half years ago.
Mahabubnagar: The Bharatiya Janata Party organised a farmers’ rally in Narayanpet on Thursday demanding immediate clearance of loan waiver dues as promised by the State government during elections two and half years ago.
BJP State vice-president Nagurao Namoji who took part in the rally criticised the government’s care less attitude towards the farmers in the State. He said TRS government has failed to live up to its promise of waiving off farmers loans.
The partial loan waiving strategy has become a big hurdle for the farmers to procure fresh loans, he said. Moreover, the government has failed miserably in containing the fake seed companies, which were looting poor farmers by spilling substandard seeds, he lamented.
Nagurao said the government has also failed in its promise to provide drought relief to farmers who lost their crops due to dry weather and lack of rains last year. The rally was held from Basveshwara temple to RDO office in Narayanpet.
