Hearing on Naidu’s plea begins

Justice T Sunil Chowdary of the High Court at Hyderabad on Thursday started hearing the quash proceedings that would decide the legality of whether the ongoing criminal case in the cash-for-vote scam can include inquiry/prosecution of the AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

As reported earlier, the ACB court had directed the investigation authority to inquire into the alleged role of Naidu in the cash-for- vote scam.

The High Court had earlier stayed the order of the Criminal Court pending the final hearing of the case. Justice Chowdary started hearing the matter for final hearing on Thursday.
