Hyderabad: A two-judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice A Shankar Narayana could hear on Friday the writ plea of former Congress MLA Jeevan Reddy, questioning the decision of the Telangana State government to proceed with the demolition of the existing Secretariat building to construct a new one in its place.

Senior counsel Satyam Reddy made a mention of having moved the PIL and that the same required urgent judicial review. It is pointed out by the former MLA that the intended action of demolition and fresh construction is attributed to Vaastu and other undisclosed reasons.

It is further pointed out that earlier (during the Telugu Desam regime) huge amounts were spent on structural changes in the name of Vaastu. The Acting Chief Justice in recent times has been hearing PIL cases on Tuesday.

However, in view of the mention made by the senior counsel, the matter may be listed for hearing on Friday.
